Tested in the Silverstone wind tunnel, the new Filante SLR ID2 exceeded all expectations with a 13.6% reduction in drag and a 4.5% gain in aerodynamic efficiency across the bike-rider system. Compared to the previous Filante SLR ID1, it saves 14.15 watts at 40 km/h and delivers a 1 minute 45 second advantage over 70 km—a decisive edge when every second counts.
F-Bar ID2: Aerodynamic Cockpit for Control & Comfort
The F-Bar ID2 is Wilier’s next-generation aerodynamic cockpit, developed with the Groupama–FDJ Cycling Team. Engineered for maximum efficiency, control, and comfort, it features O.E.F. (Optimized Ergonomic Flare) geometry for a natural, aerodynamic riding position. Available in multiple widths, the F-Bar ID2 debuts fully hidden clamping hardware for cleaner aesthetics, improved aerodynamics, and full UCI compliance.
Tyre Clearance & Front Chainring
The Filante SLR ID2 strikes the perfect balance between aerodynamics and versatility. With up to 34 mm tyre clearance, it handles diverse surfaces confidently while maintaining aerodynamic efficiency. A removable derailleur support allows for a sleek, lightweight 1x drivetrain setup with chainrings up to 56 teeth, enhancing performance and clean aesthetics.
Fork: Aerodynamic Efficiency in Every Detail
The Filante SLR ID2 fork features advanced NACA airfoil design for superior aerodynamic efficiency, tested through CFD simulations. Its pronounced crown cone enhances stiffness and durability, while an integrated aerodynamic fin optimizes brake airflow. The fully encased thru-axle adds sleek aesthetics and improved aerodynamics—a first for Wilier.
