For over 12 years, we've grown from a one-man workshop into a full-service hub for riders of all kinds — road, gravel, mountain, and e-bikes.
We specialise in custom carbon builds for road and gravel bikes, tailored to fit your riding style and goals. Our fully equipped workshop includes an in-house suspension room, a dedicated bike fit studio, and even a gym designed to support rider development. We're also passionate about sharing what we know. Through our growing YouTube channel, we bring you behind the scenes of the workshop, offering tech insights, bike fixes, and cycling advice straight from the tools.

Hannah | Bicycle Mechanic
Hannah has been in the bike industry for nearly a decade. She leads our custom bike and wheel builds with a passion for precision. Outside the shop, she enjoys bikepacking and exploring the outdoors with her dog.
Madeline | Marketing & Sales Manager
Madeline brings nearly six years of digital marketing experience to the Mapdec team. Originally from Canada, she joined the company two and a half years ago and has since become an integral part of the sales, marketing, and customer experience departments.
Today, she oversees the customer journey for many of Mapdec's custom bike builds, managing everything from initial quotations and component selection through to order processing and final payment. Her attention to detail and customer-focused approach help ensure a seamless experience from first enquiry to completed build.
Outside of work, Madeline is a passionate rock climber who spends much of her free time exploring crags throughout the UK and Europe in search of new climbing adventures.
Paul | CEO
Founder and driving force behind Mapdec, Paul is a true jack of all trades. From fixing bikes to crafting creative marketing strategies, he’s the mastermind behind the brand’s vision and direction. Paul is also the go-to for customers planning their custom builds—always ready to share ideas and expert advice. A lifelong cyclist and former adventure racer, Paul brings endurance, charisma, and a deep passion for bikes to the shop every single day.
Simon | Executive Director
A passionate rider and long-time supporter of Mapdec, Simon made the leap from customer to investor, bringing with him a wealth of corporate experience. His strategic insight and support have been key to Mapdec’s growth—driving investment in new talent, facilities, and bold new projects. When he’s not at the shop, Simon is riding in far-flung places or breaking records on the local time trial scene—always on a very fancy bike.

This is the story of how we got started. A project to learn some skills that turned into a business and a decade of learning. We found this original boxed Mapdec Map Board on eBay and filmed our little nostalgia trip.
