The Vortex is an interactive Smart trainer with an electro brake. It is the easiest and most cost effective way to get yourself using Zwift and other cycling apps.
This turbo trainer unit is suitable for an average training level and can reach a maximum resistance is 950 Watts. The Vortex communicates wirelessly via ANT+ and Bluetooth wireless technology. You can attach your tablet or smartphone to your handlebar with a special bracket (optional).
There are two ways of using the trainer.

A more powerful trainer that still folds down small, connects to all the latest apps and software, and doesn't cost as much as the direct drive variations. A good upgrade over the entry level Vortex trainer.
Just like the other Smart trainers, the Bushido uses ANT+ and Bluetooth® Smart to communicate with the connected device for convenient training sessions. Performance data can be viewed on several devices simultaneously, including your smartphone, bike computer and sports watch.
When the Bushido Smart isn’t connected to a smartphone, tablet or computer, it behaves as a fluid trainer. This means the trainer behaves progressively: when your speed increases, the resistance increases as well. So it is possible to use this trainer in a “stand-alone” status. Since the Bushido is not hooked up to the power, you can use this trainer anytime and anywhere. Even when you don’t have your smartphone with you.
Compatible with Zwift, TrainerRoad, and Sufferfest apps. The more powerful brake of the Bushido trainer means you can sprint hard in the game, and Zwift mountain's 14% gradient can be properly simulated. It is a great upgrade choice over the Vortex trainer.
The worlds best value Direct Drive smart trainer. In stock for immediate dispatch!
Building on the massive success of the Tacx Neo trainer they are introducing the new Flux later this year. A mechanical direct drive drainer that uses the same Edco universal freewheel as the NEO. Quoted at 64dB this is a very quiet belt driven freewheel design. It can simulate a 10% gradient with a maximum brake power of 1000 Watts. Offering connectivity via Bluetooth and ANT+ FE-C, for use with almost every cycling software package including Zwift, Bkool, and TrainerRoad.
Unlike the Neo, the Flux has a belt driven fly wheel. It still uses the Unibody freehub for both Shimano and Campagnolo cassettes. The Flux is not supplied with a cassette, but we are happy to fit them if you ask.

We have 12 of these in our Cycling Studio and we love them. You can come and demo these head to head on a range of software including Zwift, TTS4 and Sufferfest. We can fit cassettes for you, and ensure your bike will be a perfect fit. We can also talk you through what accessories you might need, and provide a great deal, as well as a great service. We can price match any UK online price too.
Our gym users have put many many hours of sweat and tears through our machines and we are so impressed with the Tacx Neo. Here is the run through the spec sheet:
The Tacx Neo is the first only true direct drive trainer! It is our trainer of choice in our studio. Quite simply the very best stationary cycle trainer on the market right now.
The direct ride feel is generated thanks to the real direct drive concept, with no fly wheel, the magic happens with 10,000 communication transfers per second creating real life inertia just like riding on the road. So real that it can now replicate different road surfaces in software simulations like Zwift.
No high speed running noise and no vibration ensures the Neo is truly the worlds quietest trainer!
The freehub body is universal so you can install a Shimano, SRAM or Campagnolo cassette very easily. only 11sp SRAM Mountain Bike cassettes that use the XD driver are incompatible.
Clamp the rear stay into the trainer just as you would a wheel. Adaptors are available for bolt thru axle designs.
The trainer transmits Bluetooth Smart, and ANT+ F-EC and can therefore be easily connected to a tablet, smartphone or GPS computer to have your training data in view. Using a tablet even makes an interactive training possible, e.g. with training programmes or videos. To connect to software like Zwift you will also need the ANT+ antenna to plug into your PC or MAC.
We use these in our fitness studio along with PerfPro, Sufferfest and Zwift software. It is also compatible with Tacx TTS4, TrainerRoad, BKOOL and any other ANT+ or Bluetooth supported apps. Calibration accuracy and signal strength are the key features we appreciate for the studio.
The NEO has an universal EDCO Multisys body that fits all Shimano and SRAM cassettes, and most Campagnolo cassettes. The new 11 speed Campagnolo cassettes are not currently compatible. The old style ones are. For 10 speed Campagnolo we recommend the Ambrosio Cassettes that have Shimano splines, but Campagnolo spacing.
