Our favorite cycling lubes. Juice Lubes do one thing, make great bike lubes. That's it!
Chain Oil, Suspension Oil, Assembly Grease, and Cleaners. We use everything, everyday in our workshop. Based in the English Lake District we know a bit about wet rides, gritty bearings and squeaky bits.
AAS Juice is a premium, aluminium anti-seize assembly paste. Using it will allow easy future disassembly for maintenance by preventing against cold welding, corrosion and seizure. It will also ensure a squeak free interface between threaded parts such as bottom brackets, bolts and pedals. Also good for BB30 & Headset type bearings pressed into metal frames.
Apply a small amount – just enough to cover the threads on your component part and then tighten to the required torque setting as advised in the manufacturer’s instructions. Wipe of any excess.
AAS Juice is safe to use in all metal to metal contact situations.View full product details

Our favorite grease, and we use it exclusively in the workshop as we have not yet found anything as resilient as this.
Bearing Juice is a grease designed for use in low temperature applications such as hubs, bottom brackets and headsets. Don’t be alarmed that Bearing Juice is not purple and/or shiny – it doesn't need to be! These types of greases are lithium complex greases and are designed to work in applications where a high operating temperature is achieved such as a car wheel hub. Without these high temperatures being achieved the grease does not release its lubricating oils as effectively as it should and you don’t get optimum lubrication. Bearing Juice also has high resistance to water wash out which will help keep your bearing’s running smoother for longer through the British summer time.
To breathe new life in to a set of bearings carefully remove the outer and inner seals with a very thin screwdriver to reveal the bearings within their race. It is advisable to clean the bearings as much as possible with a degreaser such as Brake Juice or Dirt Juice Super Gnarl and then rinse with water before allowing them to dry out for as long as possible. Finally re-pack the bearings with fresh Bearing Juice before carefully replacing the inner seal followed by the outer seals.
We are sure you realise this, but the Jet Wash is the definitive arch enemy of the humble bearing so whilst we appreciate how convenient they can be to use, you should always take care to not focus the jet on any bearings as it will almost certainly reduce the lifespan of the bearings as it will force muck past the seals and into the bearing race leading to that horrible rough and gritty feeling. You wouldn't enjoy sand in your pants and neither do ball bearings……View full product details
Brake Juice is a high performance, fast drying, disc brake cleaner, designed for cleaning your disc brake pads and rotors, but also great for flushing out bearings and getting things clean.
Brake Juice has a chlorine-free formulation that will not do any of the following:
Spray directly on to callipers, pads and rotors and let it do it’s thing. Brake Juice dries quickly, with no residue so there is no need to wipe anything off. Initial performance does differ between pad compounds and different brands. Generally we have found that the Brake Juice evaporates more quickly from semi metallic and sintered pads than it does from organic pads. So if you do use organic pads you may experience a short period of brake squeak but this will quickly stop.
Always remember to check your pads for wear – Brake Juice won’t do a lot if you are down to the back plate! Also it is worth checking you have exactly the right size mount for the rotors you are using – we have seen people caught out on several occasions where a mount has been slightly too big and bridging has occurred. This is where the top of the pad never comes into contact with the rotor, so it never wears down and creates a lip that makes it appear as though you have plenty of pad life left. Then all of a sudden the brake lever goes back to the bars and you can’t stop because the rest of the pad that you can’t see without turning the bike over, is worn right down!View full product details
Essential for places where carbon tubes get clamped such as the Stem, Handlebar and Seatpost. This paste ensures that these parts stay solid at the low bolt torque demanded. This paste is bright red in colour, hopefully stopping you accidentally adding to your bearings. It contains grit to aid friction.
Before Carbon Fibre became the new best thing to make bicycles from, we were used to just tightening a clamp and the item being clamped staying put. Fine for Aluminium/Steel/Titanium; not so for slippery Carbon Fibre. At best your seat post would gradually slip down leading to irritation and progressively more tired legs and at worst, because you know its a bit slippery, you over tighten and then "snap"....... Time for a new seat post as the last one now has a lovely crack through it!
So with this in mind, Carbon Juice is there to give a little helping hand at increasing the friction between previously slippery carbon fibre surfaces. It reduces the chances of slippage and eliminates the need for you to over tighten and risk damaging your light weight parts. And one small pot will last a very long time as so little is required per application.
Simply apply a very thin layer to component interface area's and tighten to manufacturers recommended torque settings.View full product details
Without doubt this is our favorite chain oil ever. Super smooth shifts and good all day endurance in all but the worst conditions. It doesn't collect dirt, and runs quietly. Superb!
Chain Juice Ceramic is an advanced chain lubricant that utilises cutting edge, ceramic additive technology to improve gear shifting performance. You should notice distinctly quieter, smoother and more “crisp” gear changes when using Chain Juice Ceramic.
The ceramic additive behaves in such a way that on a microscopic level it forms a laminar plate structure over the chain which greatly reduces metal on metal contact and therefore you enjoy better gear changes at all times, even under load when you shouldn’t really be changing gear at all! You know the times – when your gears normally create a noise that makes your face screw up??!
Chain Juice Ceramic will also greatly extend component lifespan and protect against rust and corrosion.
It is most suitable for use in dry to damp conditions.
Apply to a clean and dry chain.
Open the flow valve cap about half way and apply a thin bead of lube to the chain whilst steadily back pedalling the cranks. You do not need a lot, just enough until you notice the previously dry chain is much quieter.
Allow a couple of minutes for lube to penetrate the chain and wipe off any excess before starting your ride.View full product details
Our choice lube for days when it is wet from the start, there are puddles and mud everywhere and this is the only lube that would survive. Those character building days! We also like using this to lube pivots on freshly cleaned mechs and calipers.
The formulation of Chain Juice Wet includes extreme pressure additives that allow it to keep lubricating even under extreme loads – think of the actual forces you are putting through a bike chain when you are trying your hardest? To keep the chain running smoothly, the lubricant has to maintain its structural integrity on a molecular level when being crushed between the pins and plates due to the pulling force you are exerting by turning the cranks. This is a very small area of actual contact and since pressure is calculated by dividing the force of something by the area over which it is acting ….. well, you can see you end up with a big number!
The final ingredients in the mix are rust and corrosion inhibitors, an anti fling additive and a chunk of waterproofing to keep it all in place. Don’t be fooled that Chain Juice Wet is like any old thick, wet lube just because it seems a similar consistency or colour – it’s not! As with all Juice Lubes products the devil is in the details, which in our case are the quality of the additives and base oils that we use.
Don’t use in dusty conditions - your chain will quickly attract light debris and turn into a big grinding mess.
For top performance, apply to a degreased chain and dry chain. For this you should use Dirt Juice Super Gnarl with The Dirty Little Scrubber chain cleaning tool, before rinsing the chain with fresh water and allowing to dry for as long as is practical.View full product details

Dirt Juice Super Gnarl is a super strong (hence the Super Gnarl name) concentrated citrus degreaser that can be used neat for cleaning drive trains and any other heavily soiled components. So an example might be you are looking to breathe some new life back in to an old bottom bracket – you would use Dirt Juice Super Gnarl neat in this instance to clean all the gunk out of the bearing race before rinsing with water and then repacking with Bearing Juice grease. Or pour into a chain cleaning device or Ultrasonic cleaner.
In addition to its use neat, you can also dilute Dirt Juice Super Gnarl up to 10:1 – so 1 Litre makes up to 11 litres of Dirt Juice Less Gnarl strength general bike cleaner – quite simply, this is the best value cleaner you can buy! For even better value and to make sure you get a good trigger spray bottle, you can buy this item with a bottle of Dirt Juice Less Gnarl in our Dirt Juice Double Pack which also saves you a bit of money.
For chain cleaning we recommend using Dirt Juice Super Gnarl in its neat form along with our handy chain cleaner; The Dirty Little Scrubber!
Simply fill the scrubber up to the line with Dirt Juice and then fit to the chain before back pedalling the chain through the cleaner. Repeat as required and then rinse chain with clean water before allowing to dry and re-lubing.
For removing stubborn frame stains, pour a bit of neat Dirt Juice on to a rag and rub the offending area until the grime is removed.
For degreasing small parts such as jockey wheels and bearings simply soak the items in a shallow tray of neat Dirt Juice and agitate with a small brush or other appropriate implement until clean. Rinse with clean water and apply relevant protector such as JL69 or Bearing Juice.View full product details

Our choice for high performance road bikes in dry summer conditions.
Chain Juice Dry is a hard wearing, advanced, dry weather conditions chain lube that works a bit differently to other dry lubes. The lubricating element is suspended in a highly penetrating, bio-degradable, solvent carrier. When applied to the chain, the carrier quickly “searches” its way in between all the pins and rollers of the chain which is where it is needed the most. At this point when the optimum penetration of the chain has been achieved relative to the amount of lube applied at that time, the carrier evaporates, leaving behind the lubricating element which is enclosed in a thin, dry to the touch film which does not allow loose, dry and lightweight crud to stick to it. This results in a cleaner and quieter chain. Simples!
Do not be alarmed that there is no thick oily residue on the chain – this is absolutely not how Chain Juice Dry is formulated to work! Using a thick wet lube in dry, dusty conditions makes for the rapid creation of a gummy grinding paste made of abrasive particles all held together by the sticky oil – this would be the perfect situation if the name of the game was to wreck your drive train as quickly as you can and have no fun in the process! But we are pretty sure that’s not why most of you ride a bike.
So next time someone tells you not to waste your money on an “expensive” or “specialist” chain oil and tries to offer you a squirt of Old Jed’s Famous Tractor Oil (I just made that up by the way – if Jed does make tractor oil I am sure it’s great. For his tractor) you now have a good idea why it is in the interests of you, your bike and your wallet to politely decline!
Apply to a clean and dry chain
Un-screw nozzle and pierce security seal. Re-attach nozzle and take care to only open the flow valve a very small amount to avoid over application. Then rest the tip of the nozzle on the rollers of the chain and whilst slowly back pedalling the cranks for 2 complete revolutions, gently squeeze the bottle to apply a thin stream of Chain Juice Dry to the chain.
HINT! At this point, if it is dripping on the floor you are applying it too quickly!!
Because of the way in which Chain Juice Dry works it is best to apply the lube in 2 - 4 thin layers leaving a few minutes between each layer for the penetration and evaporation process to take place. As 2 complete revolutions of the crank is roughly one revolution of the chain when it is on the middle chain ring, you can consider this 1 layer applied.
Ideally you should lube the chain straight after you have finished a ride and cleaned your bike rather than just before you are about to start a ride. This would have allowed the maximum time possible for the lube to set up for optimum performance and would have kept any corrosion at bay.View full product details
An essential for any Mountain Bike owner, this keeps your forks feeling fresh and just removes that initial stiction and greatly aids the small bump compliance.
Fork Juice is where it all started for Juice Lubes and since releasing the product in 2009 we have sold tens of thousands of units to happy and now stiction- free riders, all over the world. It’s used by riders, racers and weekend warriors alike for all or any of the following:
We are not saying it’s a replacement for a full strip down, service, new internals and rebuild; but then we are not asking you to hand over £80 either.
Application is simple - wipe any residual dirt or grease off the stanchions and shock shaft and then make sure you cover up your brake disks and pads because it will make them forking slippery too!
Re-apply as required by frequency of riding, distance covered, terrain and conditions.View full product details
Protect and shine your pride and joy with this easy to use frame polish.
You know how annoying it is to look at your cleaned and gleaming wet bike and feel all proud of your hard work, only to turn round 5 minutes later when its dried off, to be confronted with the same cack stained bike that was there an hour ago, just minus the clods of mud? Well, be frustrated no more as Juice Lubes buffing marvellous Frame Juice will sort this little problem out in no time.
The Frame Juice formula not only restores your pride and joy to its box fresh shine, it also leaves a non stick surface that mud finds it a lot harder to stick to. This mean that next time round cleaning should be even quicker and easier. Who doesn’t like the sound of that?!
After cleaning your frame with Dirt Juice and rinsing with fresh water, allow frame to dry.
Then, spray directly on to the area you want shiny again (TAKE CARE TO AVOID CONTACT WITH ANY BRAKING SURFACES).
Finally, buff with a clean rag to your level of satisfaction.
If you are embarking a on a muddy ride, spray on and do not wipe off. This will maximise the mud shedding abilities, which by the end of a long ride or race can save a you a fair bit in weight that you may well have ended up carrying around with you.View full product details
Juice Lubes JL69 performs the essential task of displacing moisture that can cause rust, corrosion and damage, leaving behind a lubricating and protective oil that increases component lifespan.
It has extremely high penetrating and anti-rust capabilities that ensure it will drive moisture out from anywhere. Put simply if moisture can get into a space then JL69 will get it back out again! It’s excellent searching power also results in the release of all rust bound parts.
After cleaning your bike with Dirt Juice and rinsing with fresh water, Spray JL69 in to all nooks and crannies where moisture will sit and cause harm. Particular attention should be paid to the rear mech, front mech, bottom bracket, suspension pivots and cables.
DO NOT SPRAY ON BRAKE PADS AND DISCS – lubrication here is not the name of the game!
In addition to bike maintenance, JL69 can be used in any situation where sitting water, corrosion and rust are undesirable. Like GT85, but refined...View full product details

If you service your own forks these oils give you a great way to tune your ride.
These fully synthetic suspension oils are completely blendable between weights for very precise tuning of your system.
A 500ml size is usually enough for 2-3 oil changes of most forks.
In our experience we have found these track very closely to the Fox range, and we would recommend replacing weight for weight on the first change before experimenting with different blends.
Check Bike Tech Tools website for a handy chart of the correct oil volumes for your fork.

Cleaning your chain properly is one of those jobs that is quite simply a bit of a pain in the ass. And like all jobs that are a bit of a pain in the ass, they don’t always get done as often as they should. In the case of your filthy chain, this can mean premature drive train wear, poor shifting and not enjoying your ride as much as you should. So you need something to take the pain out of chain cleaning; and here it is! Our Dirty Little Scrubber is a hand’s free, chain cleaning tool that is happy to get to work quickly whenever required with minimum mess or fuss.

Since Stans bought us the idea of tubeless tyre sealant, it has been refined and improved. This is Juice Lubes formula, and we like it. It seems to last a little longer, and the bigger bottles are much more convenient for big volume Enduro tyres. The 130ml size in enough to do two 27.5 x 2.5 tyres for example. Whereas the 500ml is good for your workshop stock.
Tyre Juice is a high quality, synthetic latex tyre sealant for use with all UST and Tubeless Systems. It forms a thin film around the inside of the tyre meaning no wheel imbalance is caused.
Depending on the size and volume of the tyre (and how careful you are during the seating process), between 50ml and 100ml of Tyre Juice will be a sufficient amount to seat the tyre and prevent punctures up to a diameter of 4mm. The initial seating process can take a little longer and is made much easier with the aid of a compressor. Once the tyre is seated properly and you have some pressure inside the tyre spin it and shake it to ensure the Tyre Juice is well spread on the inside and within 30 secs you should not hear any escaping air at all.
You may experience some loss of pressure before your first ride on a freshly seated tyre; this is normal and won’t continue long term. Sealant levels will need monitoring more regularly in arid and dry conditions.
IMPORTANT – STORE IN A COOL AND DARK PLACE! TYRE JUICE IS A NATURAL PRODUCT AND DOES NOT CONTAIN PRESERVATIVES. IF SUBJECTED TO UV LIGHT A SLIGHT CHANGE IN COLOUR TO LIGHT PINK CAN OCCUR – DO NOT BE ALARMED, THIS WILL NOT ADVERSELY AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PRODUCT.View full product details
If in doubt, reach for this everytime. If you only have patience for one lube, choose this one.
Viking Juice is an advanced chain lube designed to work well in wet and dry conditions. It will remain in the chain for a much longer period than conventional lubes, increasing chain life. That is our take on it but if you want a bit more info Singletrack Magazine tested it for 400 miles of tough as nails Scottish XC and came away praising it as quite possibly “the holy grail of chain lubes”. We were pretty happy about that!
Originally designed with Magnus Backstedt, to last the entire Paris –Roubaix race and keep him smiling! Check out www.bigmaggys.com for more info and great Coffee!
Un-screw nozzle and pierce security seal. Re-attach nozzle and open flow valve a small amount to avoid over application. Viking Juice is very runny, so take care not to open the valve too much otherwise it will end up on the floor!
For top performance, chain must be thoroughly degreased (Use Dirt Juice Super Gnarl for this!) Apply up to 4 layers of Viking Juice , allowing at least 2 minutes between each layer for the lube to penetrate and “set-up” correctly.
Ideally you would apply Viking Juice after you have cleaned your bike having finished a ride. This would give the chain lube the maximum amount of time to set up properly giving maximum performance on your next ride and stopping any corrosion occurring in the meantime.View full product details
Using wax lubes keeps your chain spotlessly clean, and it is very quiet. It is important that it is only applied to a clean chain, and that only this oil is used. It does not mix well with other lubes.
It is particularly well suited to hot and dry conditions where it is cleaner, quieter and longer lasting than our Chain Juice Dry product, but it will also operate effectively in the wet. In the past wax lubes have had a bit of a reputation for not being hard wearing but our clever guys in white coats are confident they have got round this issue with our latest blend.
As with all chain lubes you will need to apply to a clean and dry drive train to achieve optimum performance. Once cleaned, application of Chain Juice Wax is simple, just apply a thin bead of lube to the chain whilst back pedalling the cranks. Depending on how clean you got the chain before hand, you will notice the chain running much quieter when the lube is applied and has penetrated properly. Leave for a few minutes before riding to allow proper set up to take place.
The type of riding you do, the intensity you ride at, the distance, terrain and weather will all affect how long you can go before re-applying so you will have to use your judgement here, but hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised!
