The idea of having a map mounted to your handlebars is nothing new. In fact the whole sport of Mountain Bike Orienteering, and the famous Polaris Challenge depends on it. Then it found favour among Adventure Racers as well, and the map board became a piece of essential equipment.
Map boards are also widely used by cycle tourers and audax cyclists to navigate through country lanes and along Sustrans routes.

Our favourite races & events:
Midland Trailquests run score based Mountain Bike Orienteering events in the Midlands. They have over 1500 members of all ages, and a very active race diary. Events rage from 2 to 5 hours long, and about twice a month.
Tri-Adventure run loads of Adventure Races and MTBO events in the South East. Something for everyone.
